AMVCA AWARDS HIGHLIGHTS

The prestigious Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) took place on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Eko Hotel Convention Centre.

The event which was transmitted live on Africa Magic stations via DSTV, saw Kunle Afolayan walk away with the biggest awards of the night thanks to his 'October 1' movie which won 9 awards! ‘October 1’ which had a total of 13 nominations won the awards for ‘Best movie’, ‘Best Director (Kunle Afolayan) and ‘Best Actress in a Drama’ (Kehinde Bankole).

OC Ukeje won the 'Best Actor' award while Kehinde Bankole was the recipient of the 'Best Actress' prize. Best supporting actor and actress went to Blossom Chukwujekwu and Linda Ejiofor respectively.Another big winner of the night was Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo's 'The Meeting' which won the 'Best Movie (Comedy)' and spun awards for Femi Jacobs (Best Actor in Comedy) and Rita Dominic (Best Actress in Comedy).

There were music performances from The Mavin Crew, Diamond Platinumz and comedic theatrics from Basketmouth and Eddie Kadi.

Psquare always gets the last laugh in a bad way. The duo were slated to perform last- after the show had ended. This isn’t the first time this is happening that they would be performing while guests are taking their live. Sometimes it works for them, other times, maybe it isn’t such a good idea.

Move Over 2baba! MEET The Man who has Fathered Over 34 Children With 17 Different Women!

Guys, meet Jay Williams an Atlanta-based video producer who is currently making headlines thanks to his personal life.

He is the biological father of 34 children by 17 different mothers!!

Yes, you read those figures correctly! Jay even has 9 additional children that he has embraced or adopted, which means he has a total of 43 children.

Two of his 17 babymamas were best friends and got pregnant for him at the same time!
His youngest child is 3, while the oldest is 26.

In a revealing letter written to spiritual and relationship expert Iyanla Vanzant, of OWN's Iyanla: Fix My Life fame, 44 year old Williams said he wants to be a better father. Williams told Iyanla that his relationships with his kids range from excellent to non-existent, and even Iyanla Vanzant was almost at a loss for where to begin.
 
The first thing Iyanla had done was confront Williams with a physical representation of his responsibility by bringing him 34 dolls. She asks Williams to hold as many dolls as he can, to feel the weight of what he's created. 
But he could only hold 14.

"Let me ask you this question, Jay. Thirty-four children. At any point, did it dawn on you [that] this is too much?" Iyanla asks.

           "No," Williams answers evenly.

When Iyanla asks Williams about using protection during sex, he insists that he did.

"I probably would have 200 kids if I didn't use condoms," he says

Five star music artist, Harrysong has said he’s been counting his blessings since he released his hit single ”Beta Pikin”. He revealed this in a recent interview with Encomium Magazine where he explained how successful the single has been. Read excerpts from the interview below;

How are you basking in the success of your song Beta Pikin?

Beta Pikin is a blessing. Beta Pikin took like six months ‎to blow, we did a lot of push and work, so I think that’s why it’s staying this long and it’s working for me. I’m enjoying it.

Did you ever imagine it will go this far?
No, we were working and hoping to get to the level of acceptance, love and success. Where we can smile and also pay off, and suddenly things started turning for good which I think it’s time for me.

How financially rewarding is the song for you?
Beta Pikin is a billion naira stuff. If I was to put together the estimate, I cannot even count, because it’s bought me different properties, it’s bought me house, cars and so many other things.

Learnt that you just acquired a brand new SUV, how did it happen?
Correct! I went to America. I went to Boston, I went for shopping for just sneakers and belts and I saw the car at the mall and they approached me and it’s a beautiful car and I paid for the car.
